All members of the Lehigh community—students, faculty, staff and alumni—are expected to know and follow the Principles of Our Equitable Community.

The goal was to make this poster as engaging as possible for anyone walking past it. After exploring various graphic and typographic routes, hand-lettering emerged as the winner—as it resonated with our primary audience (students), was unique (and therefore more likely to catch attention), and it accommodated the varying lengths of each of the Principles’ texts.

Colours were chosen deliberately—to help the poster stand out when hung in the midst of others. The deep ‘Lehigh brown’ background flood provides a clear margin, while the shades of the secondary brand colours each help read each Principle separately.
